American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross is the nation's premier emergency response organization. They provide numerous services dedicated to saving lives and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Boston Pops Orchestra

Boston Pops is one of the most popular orchestras in America. Founded is 1885 as an offshoot of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra plays lighter, more popular classics.

Boys & Girls Clubs

Boys & Girls Clubs provide hope, stability, and opportunity for youth and make a difference in their lives. Their mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Center for Conflict Resolution

The Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) is one of the nation's premiere not-for-profit providers of mediation services and conflict management training. Their mission is to work with individuals, communities, courts, and other institutions to manage and resolve conflict.

Children's Memorial Hospital

Children's Memorial Hospital is dedicated to the health and well-being of all children. As the pediatric teaching facility of Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, this commitment drives Children’s Memorial Hospital to be a leader in pediatric healthcare delivery; in research into the prevention, causes, and treatment of diseases that affect children; in education for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals; and in advocacy for the general well-being of all children. As a charitable organization, Children’s Memorial Hospital serves children and their families to the best of their abilities and the limits of their resources.

Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago

The Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago (CRFC) helps schools foster critical thinking skills and responsible civic action in students. Non-profit and non-partisan, CRFC has been a national leader in the design and implementation of quality law-related education (LRE) programs for elementary and secondary school students and their teachers. Founded in 1974 as part of the Constitutional Rights Foundation in Los Angeles, the Chicago office established itself as an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 1990.

Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services

The Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS) strives to help lower income individuals address their legal needs in a timely and cost effective manner. Their legal assistance hotline provides callers with immediate access to an attorney. With this method, CARPLS disposes of its cases at a much lower cost per case than traditional legal aid programs. CARPLS was started following an Illinois Legal Needs Study that showed 80% of the legal needs of the poor in Illinois went unmet. Since May of 1993, CARPLS attorneys have answered over 200,000 phone calls from low-income individuals seeking legal assistance.

HFS Chicago Scholars

The HFS Chicago Scholars is a nonprofit corporation created for the express purpose of supporting the educational aspirations of economically disadvantaged, but academically motivated Chicago inner-city youth. The HFS programs provide a safe and intellectually rich support system that is necessary for talented young minds to thrive and succeed.

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston

Interfaith Ministries (IM) brings people of diverse faith traditions together for dialogue, collaboration, and service. IM’s programs advocate for the needs and rights of at-risk and special needs children, enhance the independence and dignity of low-income seniors, and improve the quality of life for refugees.

Joffrey Ballet

The Joffrey Ballet is a Chicago-based dance company known around the world for its repertoire of historical ballets as well as ground-breaking works. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2006.

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement’s mission is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential. Altogether, Junior Achievement reaches approximately 6.6 million students worldwide.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. This organization has reached more than 144,000 children worldwide.

Midtown Educational Foundation

The Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) operates the Midtown Center for boys and the Metro Achievement Center for girls. These centers help youngsters to become better students and better people through after-school and summertime programs that integrate academics with virtues. The Midtown Educational Foundation is a special place, made special by all the kids and volunteers who come through its doors.

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

The Chicago Academy of Sciences and its Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum inspire people to learn about and care for nature and the environment. The institution fosters environmental learning through the exhibits and education programs of the Museum, as well as through the Academy's collections, research, symposia, publications, events, and other activities.

The Maryland Zoo

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore was founded in 1876. It is the third oldest zoo in the United States and is internationally known for its conservation and research contributions. The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is managed by the Maryland Zoological Society Inc., a non-profit corporation, and is accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association.

Thresholds assists and inspires people with severe mental illnesses to reclaim their lives by providing the support, skills, and respectful encouragement that they need to achieve hopeful and successful futures.

Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization

The mission of Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization is to ensure, through information, empowerment, and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone. This organization provides programs and services to people diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones, including their 24-hour Y-ME National Breast Cancer Hotline, the only hotline in the United States staffed by trained peer counselors who are breast cancer survivors. Y-ME raises funds through donations and special events, including their annual Y-ME RACE Against Breast Cancer held on Mother's Day.
